COMBAT
To fight monsters, face them and press the TAB key to attack them! There are a number of different weapons & armor in the game, some are purchased in shops and some are found as drops from killing monsters. Weapons have a minimum and maximum damage value for each swing. For example, the Battle Axe does 4-7 damage per hit. Armor has a minimum and maximum defense value, reducing damage of each hit you take. For example, the Wooden Armor prevents 3-5 damage per hit taken. Monsters also each have min/max attack & defense values; if an attack misses, your attack roll was lower than their defense roll. In the case of a Skeleton, it has 🗡️ 2 - 4 attack and 🛡️ 1 - 4 defense. Each time you attack you will use some of your stamina bar, and using all of your stamina will leave you out of breath and unable to attack or move (for a short period). Life, Stamina and Magic regenerate slowly over time - though regeneration rates can be improved by holding a Buff item in your hands, such as the Spirit Rune or Life Rune. Some monsters can cast spells across large distances - be sure to dodge their attacks!
MAGIC
In your adventures you will come across Quests that will reward you with Magic Scrolls. These scrolls provide different game changing abilities and require 🌑 Magic to use (which regenerates slowly over time). You can use items like the Green Scroll, Yellow Scroll or Grey Scroll to transform into a Tree, Statue or Stalagmite. Not only do these transformations make you invisible to nearby monsters, but they also make you immune to damage - giving you time to regenerate your Life / Stamina. Some items like the Red Scroll, or rare items like the Black Cross allow the player to cast damaging ranged spells that bypass monster defenses! Some items like the Silver Scroll, or rare items like the Chrome Cross allow the player to cast damaging area of effect spells that bypass monster defenses! Holding the Light Blue Scroll while attacking gives your melee attacks additional lightning damage! Using the Pink Scroll will fully heal you.
BUFFS
You will find various items across the land that when held will provide you with regeneration buffs to your Stamina, Life and Magic. The Spirit Rune and Green Tonic will improve your Stamina regeneration, the Body Rune will improve your Life regeneration, the Mind Rune will improve your Magic regeneration and the Life Rune (the combination of the 3 other runes) will improve the regeneration of all your stats (in addition to being able to be used to heal you at the cost of Magic).
CONSUMABLES
In various shops and around the world you'll find a number of consumable items to restore your stats. Herbs, Leaf and Jolt Cola will restore your Stamina; Red Berry will restore your Life; Purple Berry and Crystal Balls will restore your Magic.
